River cruising is a great way to experience Europe.

* Many of the destinations are not visited by motor coach tours and a plush river vessel is a very comfortable way to travel compared to a bus.

* You only have to unpack once.

* No scheduled time to get up

* You can be as active or non-active as you like.

* These cruises are great if you only have a few days in Europe or want to extend to an existing land tour.

* These are a great value and a way to experience river cruising without having to go for a whole week.

* There are several cruises that depart all year long so that if you prefer to travel in the off season when it is less crowded and the airfares are lower, you are still able to embark on a river cruise.

Some of the cruises are seasonal, such as the Holland Tulip cruises, Christmas Market cruises, Carnival in Venice, and certain festival or wine/gourmet themed cruises. These 3 - 7 day cruises are multi language cruises. On some sailings there might not be any other English speaking guests, though the staff speak English. We can provide some dates that already have other English speaking guests booked if you prefer.

The 5 day Venice cruises are ideal since you can not stay in Venice for anything close to the cost of a cruise (especially at Carnival) and with the cruise, your food is included. These are just some cruises that are available in the off season.

The Holland tulip cruises are also an excellent value and can be easily combined with pre and post city stays. Again, these cruises are in the off season and offer a great savings. During the month of April most of the 16 river cruise vessels are in Holland so there are many cruise dates to choose from.

Germany offers the most varied cruise itineraries, with the Main, Danube, Moselle, Elbe, Rhine, Nekar and Saar Rivers to cruise on. Your views will include charming villages, castles, chateau and vineyards around every bend in the river.

France offers the Roman history of the south along the Rhone and Soane Rivers and the art and history of the Seine River from Paris to Normandy and the beautiful cities of Honfleur and Deauville.
